Max Fernandez is the founder of Crossfit South County. He has been inspiring people to live of health and fitness for the past 5 years. His passion for life and sports has led him in many directions – from power lifting competitions as a teenager, to the Marine Corps, and continual new mentor programs. His skills as a coach come from his intense drive to study and train all aspects of fitness and nutrition. He coaches individuals and groups of all ages and fitness levels in nutrition fitness and athletic conditioning. His “in depth knowledge" of sport specific movements and Crossfit skills comes from coaching well over 1,800 individual Crossfit sessions and a huge diversity of clients. His development came from his experience in the Marines. The Marines gave him the opportunity to learn everything about being an infantryman – from tactics, land navigation, communication, to leadership. The foundation was laid for the building blocks of a successful Crossfit Facility in Orange County. The tactical planning and education that Max gained ranges from Level 1 Certification, Level 2 Certification, Olympic lifting Certification, Nationally accredited personal trainer certification through the American Council on Exercise, Mentor Building Training Programs, Nutritional Challenges Workshops, and On-Ramp Development for Athletes. Beyond the scope of owning a very successful Crossfit gym, training individuals on both fitness and nutrition; Max also had left his footprints in his own accomplishments in the Crossfit Arena. In 2009, Max placed 7th Overall in the Men’s Division at the Regional Qualifiers for all of Southern California. Max also coached and developed a team of athletes to compete at the 2009 Summer Crossfit Games and finished extremely well overall. When it comes to drive, pro-active initiative, and motivating others to reach their true potential in fitness and nutrition, Max has an approach that has proven effective time and time again!

The more you lose yourself in something bigger than yourself. the more energy you will have.
